I once read or heard or saw on instagram that domestic cats meow because they think we are their mothers, and that there is no reason why they would meow as often as adult cats, as they can find food sources, water, warmth etc for themselves. However, with a domesticated cat, this relationship of parent/ child never really leaves, fed twice a day with a litter tray, looked after. 
 
It made me think about us, and who we are still children for. I am born into the age of advertisements, and I think my generation, a few before, and definately a few after are the kitten to advertising, to modernity, to fast speed, quick paced man made luxuries. Always meowing for something new, something quicker, something easier. A stomatch never really fully fed.
